Initial design, tendering and contractual documentation

MDC provides all necessary initial design documentation from concept development, through the tender and into the shipbuilding contract phase.

Based on the concept design, MDC will prepare the following initial and tender documentation sufficient for the yards to offer their building price:

Initial Design/Tender Documentation:

• Outline Specification
• General Arrangement Plan
• Makers List
• Steel weight Prognosis

If the prices and conditions technically and commercially are acceptable for the Client, a short-list of yards will be prepared and negotiations started towards a contract based on the following:

Contract Documentation:

• Contract Specification
• General Arrangement Plan
• Preliminary Midship Section
• Makers List
• Lightship and Steel Weight Estimate
• Project Stability Calculations
• Speed/power Prognosis

MDC will also assist the Client and yards with design documentation review and technical contract negotiation with shipyards.
