MDC 4202 - Oil Product Tanker, 20000 dwt

MDC has developed a new 20kdwt tanker design based on a new model tested hullform.

The new hullform includes a new developed wave-piercing bow shape giving excellent performance and reduced ship resistance, both in stillwater and also in waves/heads seas, also resulting in reduced service allowance.

The fuel consumption figures are therefore extremely low and amongst the best possible achievable.

The design comes in several varieties, from easy low cost basic variant to more advanced Gas/DF solutions, ice strengthened options, and cargo tank arrangements adapted to operators requirements.
