Arriva Shipping AS, have confirmed and contracted ship no. 2 of 8500 dwt General Cargo Carrier newbuilding at Jiangsu Soho Marine Heavy Industry Co. Ltd. to the MDC 1309 II “ECOLUTION” design.
The vessel will be a highly efficient self-loading/discharging type bulk/general cargo vessel, an upgraded version of the previous newbuilding “Nor Viking”, with a large battery plant and hybrid propulsion with zero emissions.
The vessel’s cargo operations will also be powered electrically and emission free.
